Oskar II is a wonderful Trakehner stallion imported form Russia. He was born at the famous Kirow Stud Farm, one of the best Trakehner breeders in Russia. His pedigree is a wonderful combination of top sport bloodlines! He has a nice influence of Arabian blood through his grandsire, Pomeranets ox, and that gives Oskar II and his offspring an exotic appearance and passion of the Eastern blood that is so different from other Trakehners. His sire, Hockey, is a known producer of beautiful sport horses with excellent movement and outstanding ridability. This is demonstrated by the over 40 Grand Prix horses he sired. Many perform at top level sin both dressage and jumping. Among these are: Chochol, Russian champion in dressage 1990; Saporoshez, Russian champion in dressage 1993; Podkhod, who was ranked as one of the worlds best dressage horses. With his rider Elena Sidneva he has won many ribbons in the Worldcup, Arlekin, Perechlest Grand Prix dressage horses; Eskis, Russian champion in jumping 1990 and 1993, Almox Prints J, he is one of the most successful stallions in international show jumping.
From his Dam side Oskar II also has perfect jumping bloodlines through USSR Champion in jumping stallion Ossian and his grandson Blesk, also USSR Champion in Jumping! Among the others Blesk sired Russian Dance ex Tabor, Quixotte Priboy ex Priboj, Velbot and well known stallion Biotop, International dressage champion under saddle of R. Klimke!
Oskar II has outstanding movements, very correct piaffe and passage, he has successfully competed in Grand Prix Dressage with his rider and trainer Hokan Thorn.
